Two years ago I had the opportunity of a lifetime! I was an au pair in Denver, Colorado for a beautiful host family. I experienced and learnt more about myself in this one year than ever before. From travelling around the US, to being taught American Sign Language from a 4 year old. From doing school drop-offs, to visiting countless children's museums, making funny faces out of snack food, to cuddling my host children until they fell asleep...I cherish every memory! As an Interview Leader with Cultural Care, I am now able to share the excitement future au pairs have and reiterate how much fun they will have in the US. I also talk about how challenging it will be, how fascinating exploring a differnet culture is, how many friends they will make from all over the world and most of all, how they will gain a second family! This is a such a journey of personal growth, and I encourage everyone to embark on what will be the best experience of their life!

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Physical Education, and through my placements at school I absolutely love seeing and encouraging young people to experience travel and childcare. Through my own childcare experience and travel to America I know the rewards and benefits that this programme can offer, and just how life changing their experience will be! As an Interview Leader I love sharing my knowledge and being able to encourage potential au pairs to step out of their comfort zone and explore their opportunities of gaining a second family, new friends, and an unforgettable travel experience. The Cultural Care exchange is one of the best ways to grow, learn, and mature, while doing something that they are passionate about, and is so beneficial to their future.

I first became part of the EF family in 2010 as a high school exchange student in the USA and Costa Rica. My favourite part about being an Interview Leader for the Cultural Care Au Pair Programme is being a part of the journey of kiwi women and men embarking on a year (or two) of personal growth, responsibility and an experience they will never forget. Living the American dream in the rewarding au pair role will open you to countless opportunities and you will gain a second family for the rest of your life. I am passionate about my role with Cultural Care and I look forward to meeting you as a future au pair before embarking on an incredible experience in the USA that will change your life!
